Maple alternatives (Maple shuts down Dec 31, 2026)

Maple’s homepage says it “has been acquired by Wander and will sunset on December 31, 2026,” and that all data will be deleted with no way to recover it. That’s according to Alfie, which checked Maple’s notices on Sep 16, 2026.[1] Alfie also reports that Maple’s iOS and Android apps have already been pulled from the App Store and Google Play.[1]

Maple did a lot: AI school-email summaries, AI meal plans with Instacart checkout, chores, lists and calendar sync. So it’s unlikely one app replaces all of it. Below are replacements grouped by the job Maple was doing for you.

What to save before December 31

  • Calendars connected to Google, Apple or Outlook already have their events in that account, so the shutdown doesn’t touch them.[1]
  • Meal plans, lists, chores, folders and the family inbox live only in Maple. Alfie could not find an export feature and suggests copying or screenshotting them while you can still sign in.[1]
  • Inbox access is a privacy choice. Fambot and Parently read your Gmail (Parently describes a read-only scan), while EmailSnapshot and Sense work from emails you forward to them.

Dad’s take Coming soon

I’m testing these with my own family’s real school emails and weekly meals. Until I’ve done that, I won’t pick a winner. Subscribe below and I’ll send the verdict when it’s ready.
